If you’re new here, you may not know it, but I LOVE Caron Cakes! I also love quick crochet projects that keep me cozy during the cold fall and winter months here in PA.
I had a few left over Caron Tea Cakes I bought last year from Michael’s, and I knew I wanted to whip up (another) scarf with it! I already have my fair share of chunky infinity scarves, but this time I wanted to make it a bit differently.
You can see all of my crochet scarf patterns here if you’re interested in making more! Infinity scarves are so good to sell at craft fairs and for gifts!
I typically make infinity scarves in the round, which is a good way to just make a big loop for an infinity scarf. With this Caron Tea Cake, I wanted to see how it would turn out if I made short rows then connected them into a loop. I was able to use just one skein with some left over!
This infinity scarf is quick and easy to make. Although there are a lot of rows to crochet, the treble stitch plus the super bulky weight of the yarn makes it go be very fast!
When worn, the color blocks go horizontally vs. vertically if made in the round. I really love it! With this color way that incorporates various blue tones, it almost reminds me of water colors.

I find infinity scarves so easy to put on for layering and easy to style. Just wrap it around your neck twice, and it just lays beautifully! Make it in fun colors to dress up a basic outfit or make it in a neutral color to match everything!
