Crochet Pattern Notes
I tend to crochet loose so be sure to check your gauge especially if you tend to crochet tightly. You may need to go up a few hook sizes.
The beginning chain of each row does not count as a stitch. Work your first double crochet in the first space/stitch in the row.
The griddle stitch is used for this pattern, it is also called several other names such as the grit stitch, lemon peel, etc. This stitch is very simple. It is just alternating double crochets and single crochets within the row.
I made my scarf in a color block pattern. You can easily make this scarf one solid color or even stripes by changing colors after each (or several) row(s).
