About the Stitch
The granny stitch is so easy and addicting to crochet! We are just crocheting groups of 3 double crochets in the spaces from the previous row.
Unlike the granny square, the granny stitch is made in rows. If you like the granny square look but don’t want to join squares, this is a good option!

Notes
Beginning chain multiple: 3
Beginning chain of each row will count as a double crochet stitch.
Abbreviations (US terms)
Ch = chain, dc = double crochet, sk = skip, st = stitch
Pattern
Row 1: Ch multiple of 3, 2dc in 3rd ch from hook, *sk next 2 ch, 3dc in next ch, repeat from * across, turn
Row 2: Ch 3, 3dc into each ch sp across, dc in last st, turn
Row 3: Ch 3, 2dc in first dc, 3dc in each ch sp across, 3dc in last dc, turn
Repeat Row 2-3 until desired height is achieved.
