Crochet Gift Bag
This little crochet bag is perfect for holding small gifts while adding a handmade touch. It stands about 6″ tall and 4″ wide, so it can hold a handful of small gifts or treats.
It is super simple to work up. It consists only of half double crochets. Starting at the base, you will make a circle and then continue to work even rounds with just a few color changes.

Whether you want to add gifts for a child or an adult, there are lots of different little things you can add to this crochet gift bag.
Here are just a few ideas:

Materials
Worsted weight yarn in light brown, white, pink, and blue
2 small buttons (pink and blue)
5.00mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Pattern Notes
Beginning chain of each round does not count as a stitch.
Dimensions: 4” x 6”
Abbreviations: (US terms)
Ch = chain, hdc = half double crochet, st = stitch
Crochet Pattern
Start with light brown.
Round 1: Magic ring, ch 2, 10hdc in ring, join to first st (10)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2hdc in each st around, join to first st (20)
Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc in next st, 2hdc in next st, repeat from * around, join to first st (30)
Round 4-5: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join to first st (30)
Change to white yarn.
Round 6: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join to first st (30)
Change to brown yarn.
Round 7-12: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join to first st (30)
Change to white yarn.
Round 13: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join to first st (30)
Change to brown yarn.
Round 14-17: Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join to first st (30)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew on buttons.
String: Cut 3 pieces of yarn (1 white, 1 pink, 1 blue) about 24” long. Braid three pieces together and knot each end. Weave string through the top row of the bag.
