Crochet Fruit Coasters for Summer
These lemon and lime crochet coasters are the perfect touch for your cold, refreshing summery drinks! Made to be double sided, these coasters are soft, durable, and super absorbent, perfect for protecting your surfaces from condensation or heat. The bobble edge adds a playful texture that mimics the rind of real citrus fruit, making these coasters as charming as they are functional.
These crochet coasters are easy to customize as well to become other fruits. Simply switch up the colors and/or embellishments to create endless possibilities!
- Orange and white for an orange.
- Pink center, green edge, and black “seeds” for a watermelon.
- White center, pink edge, and black “seeds” for a dragonfruit.
- Pink center, yellow edge for a grapefruit.
- Green center, brown edge, and black “seeds” for a kiwi.

Yarn for Crochet Coasters
100% cotton yarn is the best choice here to create a coaster that is durable and absorbent. With these “juicy fruit slices”, we want to be sure they soak up all the condensation from our yummy ice cold drinks!
I used I Love This Cotton! in various colors (details in pattern below) but you can use any 100% cotton, worsted weight yarn you prefer or have on hand.
Other cotton yarns that I have used that would also work well are Knit Picks Dishie, Lily Sugar and Cream, and Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran.
