Quick + Easy Crochet Project
I can guarantee you will be able to crochet this cat coaster in one sitting – just make sure you have all of your yarn and crochet hook ready to go!
This crochet cat coaster is double sided so you make two of each of the cat heads, but they are so simple and they are only 10 rows and 16 stitches across plus the ears.
You can probably whip up a whole set in a weekend too! Of course, it depends how fast you can crochet but even if you are newer to crochet, this is a very easy project to complete.

What Materials Do I Need For the Crochet Cat Coasters?
I highly recommend using 100% cotton yarn for this project and for crochet coasters in general. It is durable and also absorbent.
I really enjoy working with I Love This Cotton! from Hobby Lobby as well as Knit Picks Dishie. I find they both have a great variety of colors to choose from, the colors are vibrant without staining, and they are very easy on the hands to work with. If you’ve worked with cotton yarn before, you may have found some brands are very rough. The two brands I mentioned are a day and night difference to the more rougher cotton yarns.
For the nose and whiskers, you can use any yarn you have. It’s such a small amount and it’s meant to just be decorative so you really don’t need to go out and buy cotton yarn just for those embellishments.
