Crochet Angel Ornament Pattern
Materials
Worsted weight yarn in tan, blue, white
G/4.00mm hook
Polyfil
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Notes
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch unless otherwise noted in the pattern.
Dress is made from the bottom up.
Sc2tog is worked as follows: Insert hook into first stitch, pull up a loop, insert hook into second stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through all loops.
Hdc2tog is worked as follows: Yarn over, insert hook into first stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, insert hook into second stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through all loops.
Abbreviations:(US terms)
Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, sc2tog = single crochet two together, hdc = half double crochet, hdc = half double crochet two together, dc = double crochet, st = stitch, sp = space
Pattern
Head
Use tan.
Round 1: Magic ring, ch 1, 8sc in ring, join to first sc (8)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2sc in each st around, join to first sc (16)
Round 3-6: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join to first sc (16)
Stuff with polyfil.
Round 7: Ch 1, sc2tog around, join to first sc (8)
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Dress
Use blue.
Round 1: Ch 25, join to first ch (25)
Round 2: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join to first hdc (25)
Round 3: Ch 1, *hdc in next 3 st, hdc2tog, repeat from * around, join to first hdc (20)
Round 4: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join to first hdc (20)
Round 5: Ch 1, *hdc in next 2 st, hdc2tog, repeat from * around, join to first hdc (15)
Round 6: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join to first hdc (15)
Round 7: Ch 1, *hdc in next st, hdc2tog, repeat from * around, join to first hdc (10)
Round 8: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join to first hdc (10)
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Wings
Use white.
Row 1: Magic ring, ch 3 (counts as a stitch), 2dc, ch 2, 3 dc all in ring, pull ring tight, turn
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as a stitch), dc in same sp as ch 3, dc in each st until ch 2 sp from previous row, (dc, ch 1, dc) in ch 2 sp from previous row, dc in each st across, 2dc in last st, turn
Row 3: Repeat Row 2
Fasten off.
Assembly
Sew head onto the top of the dress.
Sew wings onto the back of the dress.
Attach yarn to top of head for hanging.
