Small, Quick Crochet Project
These ornaments are perfect little projects for decoration or to give out as gifts, especially if you don’t have much time!
Many of the ornaments require a small amount of stuffing/Poly Fil so be sure to have that on hand.
If you have scrap yarn, use it up! Each ornament requires a small amount of yarn so a full skein of yarn is not needed unless you’re making many multiples of each ornament.
Yarn for Crochet Christmas Ornaments
I used up scrap yarn for my ornaments which was a mix of cotton and acrylic. Both types worked well and I’m not afraid of the acrylic pilling since they will be hanging up on the Christmas tree.
Overall, the cotton gives a great stitch definition but the acrylic yarn gives a nice cozy and full texture. So the type of yarn you use is up to you! I prefer the acrylic yarn for these mostly because it’s easily accessible and gives that extra yarn-y look.
