Materials

Worsted weight yarn in taupe and dark brown

3.50mm hook

Tapestry needle and scissors

Notes

Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.

Pattern

Start with taupe color.

Row 1: Ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, turn (6)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next 2 st, sc2tog, turn (4)

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (4)

Row 4: Ch 1, sc2tog, sc2tog, turn (2)

Row 5: Ch 1, sc2tog (1)

Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.

Stem

Attach brown yarn to top corner of acorn with point facing downward.

Row 1: Ch 1, hdc across, turn (6)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in next 2 st, sc2tog, turn (4)

Row 3: Ch 1, sl st in next 2 st, ch 3. Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
