Written Pattern
Materials
Worsted weight yarn in brown, orange, taupe, red, mustard yellow, green
4.00mm hook
3.50mm hook
6mm safety eyes
Tapestry needle and scissors
Notes
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.
Pattern
Turkey Head
Use brown yarn and 4.00mm hook.
Round 1: Magic ring, ch 1, 10hdc in ring, join to first hdc (10)
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Add safety eyes and sew on beak with orange yarn and tapestry needle.
Turkey Body
Use brown yarn and 4.00mm hook.
Round 1: Magic ring, ch 2, 10dc in ring, join to first dc (10)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2dc in each st around, join to first dc (20)
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Turkey Legs
Use orange yarn and 3.50mm hook.
Attach to any stitch on the body.
Ch 6, sl st into 3rd ch from hook, ch 3, sl st into same place as first sl st, ch 3, sl st into same place as first sl st. Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Repeat for second leg leaving 3 stitches in between the legs.
Feathers
Use 4.00mm hook and green, red, yellow, and taupe color yarn.
Make one feather in each color for each turkey.
Row 1: Ch 10, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next 6 ch, sc in next ch, 2sc in last ch. Rotate to work on the opposite side of the chain. Sc in next st, hdc in remaining st.
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
