Gingham Pumpkin Crochet Blanket Pattern

Find the crochet pattern for this gingham granny square pumpkin blanket below.

This pumpkin blanket is perfect to throw on your sofa during the fall season. The granny squares give it a quilt look that is so inviting and cozy!

The squares are super quick and easy to make – perfect for on the go crocheting. Once the squares are finished, join them quickly by crocheting them together.

Display it year after year and hand it down to future generations as a precious heirloom! This blanket is sure to bring coziness once the cool weather hits.

Materials:

1 skein I Love This Yarn! in Mango
1 skein I Love This Yarn! in Light Peach

1 skein I Love This Yarn! in White

1 skein I Love This Yarn! in Brown

4 skeins I Love This Yarn! in Ivory

J/6.00mm hook

Tapestry needle and scissors

Notes:

Turn your work after each round in the granny squares.

After joining your squares, make a single crochet border with white and light peach.

Dimensions: 45″ x 41″

Abbreviations: (US terms)

Ch = chain, dc = double crochet, sl st = slip stitch, sp = space

Granny Square Pattern

Round 1: Magic ring, ch 3, 2dc, *ch 2, 3dc, repeat from * 2 more times, ch 2, join to top of beginning ch 3, TURN

Round 2: Sl st into ch 2 sp from previous round and work ch 3, dc, into same ch 2 sp,  *dc across to next ch 2 sp, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) into ch 2 sp, repeat from * 2 more times, dc across to next ch 2 sp, 2 dc into ch 2 sp, ch 2, join to top of beginning ch 3, TURN

Repeat Round 3

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Two Color Granny Square Pattern

*When changing colors, do not carry the yarn of the other color or crochet over it, leave it to the side until you come back to it.

Start with Color A

Round 1: Magic ring, ch 3, 2dc, ch 2, 3dc, ch 1, Change to Color B by slipping Color B yarn through the loop on the hook (this counts as another ch 1), 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 2, join to beginning ch 3, TURN

Round 2: Sl st into ch 2 sp from previous round and work ch 3, dc, into same sp,  dc across to next ch 2 sp, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) into ch 2 sp, dc across to next ch 2 sp, 2 dc into ch 2 sp, ch 1, Change to Color A by slipping yarn through (this counts as another ch 1), 2dc into ch 2 sp, dc across to next ch 2 sp, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) into ch 2 sp, dc across to next ch 2 sp, dc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, join to top of beginning ch 3, TURN

Round 3: Sl st into ch 2 sp from previous round and work ch 3, dc, into same sp,  dc across to next ch 2 sp, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) into ch 2 sp, dc across to next ch 2 sp, 2 dc into ch 2 sp, ch 1, Change to Color B by slipping yarn through (this counts as another ch 1), 2dc into ch 2 sp, dc across to next ch 2 sp, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) into ch 2 sp, dc across to next ch 2 sp, dc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, join to top of beginning ch 3

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Make 74 squares in Cream.

Make 8 squares in Mango

Make 4 squares in half Mango half Cream

Make 17 squares in Light Peach

Make 6 squares in White

Make 1 square in Brown

Join using cream yarn using the graph as as guide.
