Stuffing Crochet Amigurumi with Polyfil
A few things you can do to ensure you are stuffing your snowman ‘correctly’ is to make sure you fluff up the stuffing a bit and stuff thoroughly.
Before you start placing the stuffing into the snowman, pull apart the stuffing a bit to ensure there are no clumps and lumps. You basically want to make it light and airy so you can stuff it evenly.

When stuffing a plushie toy, you are in control of how much stuffing goes into it. That in turn determines the shape and longevity of the plushie. You want to stuff it enough to shape the snowman body and head – get all the ‘corners’ and sides. Stuff it a little extra because over time the stuffing will settle.
Safety Eye ‘Safety’
The term safety eyes are a little misleading because they can still cause a hazard especially for children under 3 years. Basically, they are not guaranteed to stay secured into the crochet piece.
I would proceed with caution especially if you are gifting or selling the item. To make them extra secure, I have seen people melt the black part of the back and smoosh it down to make extra sure the washer does not come off eventually.

Crochet Pattern Notes
Snowman is worked from the bottom up. Body and head are made all in one piece.
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.
Invisible decreases can be used for a cleaner finish. This is simply done by working in the front loops only while working the sc2tog where stated in the pattern.
Dimensions: ~9.5” tall with hat, ~7.5” tall without hat
Abbreviations (US terms)
Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, sc2tog = single crochet two together, hdc = half double crochet, st = stitch, BLO = back loop only, FLO = front loop only
