Crochet Donut Free Written Pattern
Materials
Worsted weight yarn in beige, dark brown, yellow, red, blue, and green
4.00mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Pattern Notes
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.
Abbreviations (US terms)
Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, dc = double crochet, st = stitch
Crochet Pattern
Start with beige yarn.
Donut
Round 1: Ch 14, join to first ch
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join to first st (14)
Round 3: Ch 1, 2sc in each st around, join to first st (28)
Round 4: Ch 1, *sc in next st, 2sc in next st, repeat from * around, join to first st (42)
Round 5: Ch 1, *sc in next 2 st, 2sc in next st, repeat from * around, join to first st (56)
Round 6: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join to first st (56)
Fasten off.
Donut Icing
Use dark brown yarn.
Round 1: Ch 20, join to first ch
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join to first st (20)
Round 3: Ch 1, 2sc in each st around, join to first st (40)
Round 4: Ch 1, *sc in next st, dc in next 2 st, sl st into next st, repeat from * around
Fasten off. Leave tail for sewing.
Use red, yellow, blue, and green yarn to sew on sprinkles on the ‘chocolate icing’ part of the donut. Sew the ‘icing’ onto the donut base.
