Crochet French Fry Pattern

Materials

Worsted weight yarn in yellow and red

4.00mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle

Scissors

Pattern Notes

Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.

Abbreviations (US terms)

Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, hdc = half double crochet, dc = double crochet, tr = treble, st = stitch

French Fry Box

Use red yarn.

Row 1: Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn (10)

Row 2-5: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (10)

Row 6: Ch 1, 2sc in first st, sc in next 8 st, 2sc in last st, turn (12)

Row 7-9: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (12)

Row 10: Ch 1, tr in first st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next 4 st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, tr in last st, ch 1, sl st into last st (12)

Fasten off.

Fries

Use yellow yarn.

Row 1: Ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (8)

Fasten off. Make 6-7 fries for each box. Sew fries behind the box, stagger them to make the box look ‘full’.
