Sun Crochet Pattern
Materials
Yellow and orange yarn
4.00mm hook
Tapestry needle and scissors
Note: In round 3, we are making picot stitches for the tips of the sun rays. After chaining 3, you will slip stitch back into the first chain you just made.
Abbreviations (US terms):
Ch = chain, sl st = slip stitch, dc = double crochet, tr = treble crochet
Pattern
Start with yellow yarn.
Round 1: Magic ring, ch 2, 10 dc in ring, join to first st (10)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2dc in next 9 st, 3dc in last st, join to first st (21)
Change to orange.
Round 3: Ch 2, dc, (tr, ch 3, sl st into ch 1, tr) in next st, dc in next st,
*sl st into next st, ch 2, dc in same st as sl st, (tr, ch 3, sl st in ch 1, tr) in next st, dc in next st, repeat from * around, sl st into bottom of beginning ch 2 of the round
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
