The sunglasses applique is part of my Summer Blanket which consists of granny squares and 8 different summer themed appliques.

Sunglasses Crochet Pattern
Materials
Black, pink, yellow, blue, green, and white yarn
4.00mm hook
Tapestry needle and scissors
Notes: For the Summer Blanket, make 4 sunglasses in 4 different colors (pink, yellow, blue, green)
Abbreviations (US terms):
Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, hdc = half double crochet, dc = double crochet, st = stitch
Pattern
Start with black yarn.
Round 1: Magic ring, ch 1, 10 hdc in ring, join to first st (10)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2hdc in each st around, join to first st (20)
Change to color yarn.
Round 3: Ch 1, hdc in next 15 st, ch 2, dc on side of last hdc just made, dc in next 5 st, dc under the first st in the round and into the side of the beginning ch
Fasten off.
Repeat Round 1-3
Do not fasten off. We will make the bridge of the sunglasses as a part of one of the lenses.
Ch 1, 2sc on side of dc just made, turn
Ch 1, sc across
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Sew onto other lens of sunglasses.
Use white yarn and tapestry needle to sew on sunglass “glare”.
