These two in one crochet gift card holder ornaments are similar to the ones I made to look like Santa hats. You can check those out here.
They are quick to work up and an easy last minute gift! If you have some scrap yarn in green and brown, it will be plenty to make a few.
For the ornaments, I used white yarn and sewed on french knots. You can also put on buttons, beads, sequins, etc to really spruce up the tree!

Worsted weight yarn in green, brown, and white
5.00 mm crochet hook

Beginning chains do not count as a stitch.

Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn (12)
Row 4: Ch 1, hdc2tog over first 2 st, hdc in next 8 st, hdc2tog over last 2 st, turn (10)

Using green yarn, crochet both of the trees together with single crochets, making 2sc in each corner.
Tree Trunk
Use brown yarn.
Attach yarn to bottom of tree, about 7 stitches in.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Tie a yarn loop to the top of the tree with green yarn for hanging.
