Description/Pattern Overview
- This bear is easy to crochet and only consists of basic crochet stitches, increases, and decreases. It’s about 9″ tall and makes a quick project.
- This crochet bear uses bulky chenille yarn to make it extra soft and plushie. You can use any blanket or chenille yarn you prefer. However, you may need to adjust the hook size.
- Because of the chenille yarn, we will not be using the magic ring as I found it hard to pull tight without breaking or ripping the yarn. You will see in the instructions below that we will make a chain 2 and work our first round of stitches into the first chain.
- The body and head are made all in one piece. I join at the end of each round with a slip stitch, but you can also make continuous rounds to avoid a seam. The ears, snout, and paws are made separately and attached by leaving a long tail when fastening off and using a tapestry needle to sew onto the head and body.
