Halloween is my favorite holiday to make cute and ‘spooky’ crochet projects for the kiddos! This year, I crocheted some small treat bags to fill with candy.

I made a similar treat bag last year for Christmas – a reindeer treat bag. You can find that pattern here.
These Frankenstein and candy corn treat bags are much more simple and don’t take long to make! I think these would be perfect to make multiples of to give to friends and classmates. Fill them with candy, stickers, or small toys.
I bet you can come up with many more variations as well using the treat bag pattern. A pumpkin, ghost, scarecrow, black cat, etc. That’s the best part about crochet, you can get imaginative and creative!
If you are a visual learner, I made a video tutorial for the reindeer treat bag I made a few years ago which has the same ‘base’/bag as these Halloween treat bags. You can view that here along with it’s written pattern.

I don’t need this for Halloween, but I see a lot of other uses. Like your keys and cellphone. I’ve also been trying to think of how to reuse those plastic country time lemonade mix containers and this looks like it may be the just about the right size to go around them. Love the bag. Thanks for sharing.
