This crochet jelly fish applique is a part of a bigger ocean- themed project that I have on my blog. Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, hdc = half double crochet, st = stitch, sk = skip, sl st = slip stitch
Pattern
Row 1: Magic ring, 8 hdc in ring, ch 1, turn your work
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in each st across, sk last st, ch 1, turn (14)
Row 3: Ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, hdc in next st, repeat from * across, sk last st, ch 1, turn your work (19)
Row 4: Ch 1, hdc in each st across, do not fasten off (19)
To work the bottom edge of the jelly fish, turn your work 90 degrees, ch 1, sc along the edge. (I crocheted 13 sc across ending in the first sc of Row 4. I crocheted into every space I could find along the bottom edge.)
Ch 2, turn your work, *3 hdc in next st, sk 1, sc into next st, repeat from * 3 hdc and sl st into last st. Fasten off.
Tentacles
The tentacles will be worked in the sc stitches from the bottom edge. The sc stitches are in between the bumps as shown in the picture below.

Attach your yarn into the sc space and ch 9, sl st back up ch until you get back to the edge. Repeat for all 4 spaces.
